The Fairness Fee, enacted by Secretary of Construction and Transport xEndevour, became an unpopular decision from the start. In response, President Kaiserin issued an entirely new executive order.
In a dramatic series of events that have shaken the halls of Redmont’s government, Secretary xEndeavour has been officially impeached by House of Representatives following a highly contentious hearing regarding the recently enacted Fairness Fee. The vote passed with a decisive 8-1-0 margin and was formally announced by Speaker of the House, Omegabiebel. A trial will now commence in the upper chamber.
The Fairness Fee, introduced by Secretary xEndeavour, was intended to bring greater equity to plot auctions. After the policy’s implementation, the reaction garnered high amounts of opposition, as reflected in the petition started by lucasserole to remove xEndeavour from DCT, which collected 30 signed petitions. The Secretary, according to President Kaiserin_, did not consult the policy with her Cabinet nor herself.
As criticism mounted, Congress moved to hold a formal hearing to evaluate the policy’s impact and gather testimony from Secretary xEndeavour himself. What was intended to be a routine accountability process quickly descended into chaos. According to official transcripts and congressional reports, xEndeavour made multiple inappropriate and unprofessional statements during the session—remarks that many lawmakers described as disrespectful and unbecoming of a government official, while engaging in such to a degree themselves.
In total, xEndeavour was issued 80 penalty points for his conduct during the hearing, a record-breaking figure that immediately prompted calls for disciplinary action. Congressional leaders acted swiftly, initiating impeachment proceedings the following day. The vote passed overwhelmingly, signaling a rare moment of unity in an often-divided legislature. As such, it appears that the governing party, the WPR, is not backing the President for this time around.
