I have previously had my issues with certain aspects of the Senator’s activity here. Let me be clear: I have no personal problem with Mr. End. However, I find some of his ideas to be… less than amicable. That said, End is indeed a principled person. Even if I find those principles misguided or foolish, that does not make him any less of a person of integrity.
To quote the Senator:
“What fixes the plot crisis?
✅️ Exponential tax increases on owners of significant amounts of realestate
What doesn’t fix the plot crisis?
❌ Dictating an arbitrary number to people that they can’t own more than x number of plots.”
— Endeavour (Senator)
Is it not true that monopolization of the marketplace harms the state, consumers, and businesses alike? If the argument is that people could circumvent a limit on, say, 30 plots by paying others to hold land for them, then why couldn’t they do the same under an exponential tax system to avoid higher costs?
A friend described the solution fittingly:
“When a rat comes into your home, don’t kill or remove the rat—just put your food up higher. It won’t eat your food. Trust me.
