Redmont Elects Left Wing Majority in House

The new, left-wing Congress has a mandate to govern. Can they or can they not keep it?

On Friday night, the people of Redmont cast their votes and particularly gave a mandate to govern to the left, with the socialist parties – the Workers’ Party of Redmont (WPR), Redmont People’s Party (RPP), and Galactic Empire of Redmont (GER) – accumulating just shy of a supermajority, with seven out of eleven House seats.

Despite hiccups early on in the election process, with polls closed and re-opened a few times, it appears that there was generally high turnout, with exactly 100 valid votes cast for the House and well over 100 cast for the Senate (likely due to less issues with the Senate polls). The power balance is less clear for the Senate, where voters elected Vernicia of the RPP, JediAJMan of the PCR, and xEndeavour of the RRP. They will join YeetBoy (GER), CopTop (PCR), and GoldBlooded (RRP) in the Senate, where PCR and RRP may be able to secure a majority together.

“I’m just f*cking stunned with my mandate,” Senator-elect Vernicia explained to The Reveille Times. “Otherwise, all is going to plan.”

The Reveille Times will be staying up to date with the new Congress’ activities.
