Are You Ready To Vote? A Guide For Informed Voting

Tomorrow, January 7th, Redmont citizens will go to the polls to vote for their newest congress people. Check the article out to see candidates' policies in a simplified version.

On Tuesday, January 7th, Redmont citizens will be going to the polls to vote for their newest Senators and House representatives. This election is guaranteed to be exciting, with over thirty candidates vying for eleven open House seats, and ten candidates vying for three open Senate seats. However, voters must choose only five (ranked) candidates, and only one Senate candidate. The Reveille Times is committed to making sure that all voters feel prepared and informed going into their polling station.

But before you can cast your ballot, you have to make sure you’re registered to vote! Anyone can register simply by running the command “/dos-requestregistration” in-game. It won’t be immediate, but the Department of State will be registering new voters around the clock to make sure everyone’s voice is heard. Registering to vote is crucial to ensure the integrity of Redmont’s democracy. It should also be noted that voters require six hours of in-game playtime in the past 30 days.

Once you’ve registered to vote, how do you know who you want to vote for? The Reveille Times has created a handy guide for voters to see all of the candidates, their party affiliations, and their key policies. You can find that guide here or by looking below. We have assembled all current information from campaign ads and case-by-case inquiries; however, if you are a candidate and you’d like us to add or update any information, please contact me, MissAndrist, on Discord at japaneseraccoondog. I’d be happy to add any applicable information and help ensure voters make informed decisions.

Once you know who you’ll be voting for, you can cast your ballot at official government polling stations. The easiest way to find a polling station is by doing “/gps polls” to be directed to the main polling station in downtown Reveille.

This post will be updated with any relevant information, and The Reveille Times will be watching election results closely and reporting on them frequently.
